CCWCD Executive Director, Board Member Receive SDA Award
By Kathy Parker
For what might be the first time in history, the Special Districts Association of Colorado (SDA) awarded both an Executive Director and a Board Director from the same district with special recognition awards. James Reasoner and Thomas Cech have dedicated a combined 55 years of their lives to serving members of the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District (CCWCD).
Tom received a Distinguished Manager Award, while Jim received a
Distinguished Board Member Award at the Annual Conference held September 17th through 19th in Breckenridge. Both men have faithfully and diligently served CCWCD through both crisis and triumph. Jim stated “The SDA has a very distinguished membership. This is quite an honor.”
The SDA is an organization that represents over 1,000 special districts and whose goal is to ensure the successful operation of the special district form of government. The Central Colorado Water Conservancy District was formed in 1965 to develop, manage and protect water resources for thousands of members who reside in parts of Adams, Morgan and Weld Counties.
