Come to the Poudre Learning Center at 8313 F Street in Greeley
and join this FREE event. You can walk a 5K, 10K, 15K,
or as much as you want. Go at your own pace as you enjoy the
scenery. Follow the written brochure for a self guided tour to
the history of the area. Learn about the historic Jones Ditch
and the Cache la Poudre River.
Boy Scout Troop #1 will be selling lunch back at the Poudre Learning Center where you’ll be able to stroll around this gem of an educational building and its grounds.
The Volksmarch is open to any age, by yourself or with a group. Though it’s non-competetive, we encourage groups to sign up in a friendly wager of who can walk the longest! We especially hope to get school children involved, for the outdoor adventure and for the learning. Start a competition to see which class from your school can total up the most miles! Give extra credit to your students that register and walk!
Registration is at the Poudre Learning Center from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Lunch is from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and everyone must be off the trail by 4:30 PM. For questions please contact Kathy Parker at 970-330-4540 or email to kparker@ccwcd.org.
