2025 North Confluence Institute – Focus on Watershed

Local teachers spent 2.5 days learning about the South Platte Watershed during the 2025 Confluence Institute – Focus on Watershed. This workshop is a hybrid class with 1-week of online pre-learning, in-person learning and 1-week of post learning, The first day of in-person learning included a full day of water quality sampling, exploring water related careers, speakers on Terry Ranch, the health of the Big Thompson Watershed, and an activity on acid rain. Day-2 included, a tour of Chimney Hollow Reservoir and NOAA in Boulder, the last day we spent learning about Project WET and practicing activities to take back to the classroom.  2.0- CSU credits were awarded to everyone completing the course.
